Generally, we hike rain, hail or shine so just dress appropriately! If it’s cold and wet, you might want to bring a raincoat and dress in layers as you'll work up a sweat on the trails. If it’s hot, you’ll need a hat and sun cream, and you might want to dress in light weight layers for sun protection. Make sure you have a good pair of trainers as the trail is mainly gravel and can be slippery in places.
It's personal preference whether you would like to bring personal belongings with you on the hike. If you have things to carry, we recommend bringing a small backpack. If you bring a water bottle, please be mindful of the environment and bring a reusable flask. Kindly take all your rubbish with you.
We can cater hikes to all fitness levels. It's a great idea to bring up any concerns at the time of booking. The longer the hike the more strenuous it will be so please keep this in mind. We hike at a pace that is comfortable to all participants, however an intermediate level of fitness is necessary for all our hikes.
As much as we love kids and babies, unfortunately we can't accommodate them on every hike. We do offer special Family Hikes from time to time and we tailor the hikes especially for kids to keep it fun and interactive. They can pat and feed the animals and go on an exciting adventure with you! Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
